There's treasure everywhere!

On Saturday, my roommate and I decided to go poking around a few local thrift stores.  I wasn't looking for anything in particular but still ended up coming home with a few fabulous finds (as usual).

My finds included:

A Vineyard Vines brown belt- Brand new with tags!

I paid $10 dollars for it.  The tag said $65 originally but had been marked down repeatedly. I couldn't find this belt on the website anymore but found it on a blog.

An over-sized J. Crew tissue turtleneck that will be perfect with a pair of leggings and my brown Nine West boots.
Tissue turtleneck tee in stripe
My turtleneck is green and black striped.

I couldn't find an image of the boots that I own, but here's a similar pair.

As well as the clothing, I found a cute little mug to replace the one that I left at home and a fish coaster reminiscent of something that Southern Tide would do.

When the weather gets a little cooler, I'll post a picture of the outfit that I had in mind when I bought the shirt.

My quarter-life crisis

At the ripe old age of 21, I feel like I should have everything in my life together.  I'll be entering into my senior year of college as a Communication Studies-Political Science double major.  I've spent an entire semester interning at a Public Relations firm.  I've spent time volunteering for a non-profit doing marketing/social media work.  I've interviewed countless numbers of professionals. I've read articles on choosing a job and filled out my fair share of career quizzes online.  Out of all of this, I've realized that I have absolutely no idea when it comes to what I really want to do with my life.

How do you figure it all out?

Is it trial and error or is there a more foolproof method of discovery?

So many questions. So little time to figure it out.

Breaking up is hard to do

Recently someone very close to me went through a break up.  As I've been talking to her about things and helping her get over it, it led me to think about how for once I was happy that I'd never been in a long term relationship- break ups are hard, and frankly, I don't have the time or energy to spend getting over some guy who probably wasn't even worth it to begin with.

Along the same lines, I've been listening to Somebody That I Used To Know a lot lately.  Not only is it incredibly catchy, but I think it captures the essence of break ups and failed relationships.

What about y'all?  Are there any songs that really stand out to you for similar reasons?

Hello, world!

I've wanted to start a blog for a while but haven't had the time due to interning, school, and all of the little things life throws your way.  Well, no more excuses.  While I am not sure of the exact direction I want this blog to take, I know that getting there will be an adventure, and one that will hopefully be entertaining to read (or at least a good time filler).

Me and my little sister in DC!
